X-Ray Solar Flare 4/6 - 4/7 2012

NOAA NWS Space Weather Prediction Center has stated today that a low level X Ray flare emitted energy on the sun's surface. We will review and add updates to the continuing solar storm activity.

NASA's TRMM Satellite sees tornadic Texas storms in 3-D

The severe storms in the Dallas area generated anywhere from 11 to about 15 tornadoes on April 3rd, 2012.

NASA's Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite, captured this 3D animated image showing precipitation and cloud tops over 8 miles high!

Destructive Tornadoes in Dallas

The most recent reports say that there was no loss of life in the Dallas, Fort Worth area. The Red Cross began to mobilize into Northern Texas to help those in need, so today as you all probably know there were multiple tornadoes that struck Texas today.  I wanted to share this incredible footage by local TV and then rebroadcasted by The Weather Channel today.  You can see trailers pulled about 180 feet into the air, an incredible display of the forces of nature.
